Reflection Room Manager

  • Annual Salary: £40,182 - £42,060 (Actual pay £35,504 - £37,163)
  • Location: Walthamstow, close to Blackhorse Road station
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Start Date: September 2026 or earlier

We are seeking an experienced and committed Reflection Room Manager to lead our Reflection Room provision. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of behaviour, inclusion, and student support within our community.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the Reflection Room, ensuring a calm and purposeful environment.
  • Promote a structured and respectful learning atmosphere where students can reflect on their behaviour and engage in meaningful learning.
  • Support pupils in using restorative approaches to reflect on their behaviour.
  • Ensure students complete high-quality academic work during their time in the Reflection Room.
  • Facilitate the successful reintegration of students into mainstream lessons and support ongoing behaviour improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with pastoral leaders, SEND colleagues, and families to support positive outcomes for all pupils.
  • Maintain accurate behaviour records and monitor trends to inform practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with young people in a school or similar educational setting.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour positively and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
  • High level of organisation and strong administrative skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Experience in behaviour support, inclusion, or alternative provision is desirable.
