Programmer Analyst

Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Possesses knowledge in a settlements business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead.This role will focus on large-scale asset migrations between legacy to target state applications ensuring that they are completed successfully. The individual is required to have Intermediate global market settlement and cross border settlement knowledge.What you will be doing:Understand stakeholder needs and identify requirements.Document and agree requirements to appropriate company standards.Identify and evaluate technical feasibility of potential system solutions.Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.Maintains, tests and integrates application components.Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing codeEnsures system improvements are successfully implemented.Demonstrates an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry.Analyses requirements and translates business requirements into product designs.Work with Project Managers to estimate and plan analysis activities.Support resolution of issues raised during the testing phase of projects.Produce the following documentation: PIP Response (Feasibility Study) documentation, Business Requirements Documents, Solution Design Specification.Proven problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to influence and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Maintain the appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise to carry out the role competently.Adhere to FIS PoliciesWhat you bring:Ability to review detailed technical/design specifications produced by development teams.SQL – AS400 RPG Developer (Intermediate)EXCEL Visual Basic / Macro (Intermediate)A strong understanding of wealth management and stock-broking systems (preferably front, middle office, back office, and websites).Able to Read/Create/Interpret Crest Proprietary & Swift Settlement Messages.Global Market Settlement Knowledge (Intermediate – UK, US, Canada, Euroclear, Clearstream(Lux & Frankfurt), Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand)Cross Border Settlement Knowledge (Intermediate UK - Euroclear/Clearstream, UK - USA and Canada, USA - Canada, USA - Germany)Stock Reconciliation (Intermediate)Experience of Large Scale Asset Migrations of the full project lifecycle from feasibility/project start-up through to implementation (Intermediate)Knowledge of Fund Transfer Agencies (Intermediate)Corporate Actions & Dividends (Intermediate)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.The ability to discuss and explain complex issues to all levels.Good customer service skills in order to support both internal and external customers.Ability to prioritise effectively.Resilience under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines.Considerable drive and initiative.Being proactive.Ability to cope with a steep learning curve.Taking responsibility and accountability for assigned project deliverables.What we offer you:25 days annual leave + bank holidays.Stakeholder pension plan with employer contribution.Healthcare cash plan.Wellness reimbursement of £25 per month – to spend freely on everyday wellbeing.Life assurance cover - death in service benefit, full details will be confirmed upon joining.Occupational sickness payment.Flexible benefits – can opt into different benefit selections on an annual basis including the ability to buy annual leave.FIS corporate savings plan.Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Employee Assistance Programme.Global wellbeing programme through Virgin Pulse.Live well Campaign with lots of initiatives throughout the year.Privacy StatementFIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
