HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 tipper driver - Night shiftaverage 42 hours a week\n
\nWe are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Bulk haulage department. We will be working with a key customer providing internal site movements in a large clay works 24hours 7 days a week. The candidate will be working on a shift pattern and will be trained to self load using loading shovels and other customer equipment.\n
\n

• The shift pattern will be 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off of 12 hour shifts.
\n
• Applicants will be working a night shift
\n

Key Skill Requirements for driver\n
\n

\n
• Act in a professional and friendly manner
\n
• Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken
\n
• Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks.
\n
• Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws
\n
• Ensure all apps are kept up to date
\n
• Able to work on own initiative and part of a team
\n
• Report any issues effectively and promptly to management
\n
• Be able to work to a productive nature.
\n
• Be willing to drive other machinery.
\n

Qualifications and Skills For driver\n

\n
• Full driving licence In date driver CPC and digital tachograph
\n
• Sound geographical knowledge of UK and be able to use a road atlas.
\n
• Posses good literacy and numeracy skills.
\n
• Have a reason able level of fitness Presentable, good attitude and polite.
\n
• Tipper experience of benefit but not essential
\n
• Loader shovel driving of benefit but not essential
\n
