Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading climate-focused real assets investor in the battery storage sector to recruit a BESS Technical Asset Manager for its London office.\n\nThe BESS Technical Asset Manager role comes with a competitive salary up to £80,000, private healthcare, life assurance, and the opportunity to gain direct exposure to one of the UK's leading battery energy storage portfolios.\n\nIf you're an Asset Manager with strong technical and operational experience and are looking to play a key role in the UK's energy transition, then submit your CV to apply today.\n\nResponsibilities and Duties:\n\nReporting to the Lead Technical Asset Manager, you will:\n\nBe accountable for the performance and uptime of a portfolio of utility-scale battery storage assets\nEnsure assets operate in line with all contractual, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements\nOversee third-party O&M contractors, ensuring maintenance activities and service delivery meet agreed standards\nCoordinate external suppliers and support wider technical projects across the portfolio\nAnalyse operational data to identify performance trends and drive improvements in asset efficiency and reliability\nUse monitoring platforms such as SCADA and market data systems to track and report on asset performance\nProvide hands-on technical input where required, including site visits and engagement with external technical advisors\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise portfolio performance and support continuous improvement initiative\n Professional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following: \n\nAround 4-6 years' experience within the energy sector, ideally across renewables, utilities, or power generation\nA background in managing or supporting operational battery energy storage assets, with exposure to performance and maintenance activities\nExperience overseeing service providers and working with operational or maintenance-related contracts\nStrong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights\nA degree or relevant background in engineering, science, or another numerically focused discipline is advantageous\nFamiliarity with asset monitoring and Programming tools (e.g. SCADA, Python, SQL or similar)\n Personal skills \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nHighly analytical with strong attention to detail\nProactive, accountable, and solutions-driven\nComfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving market\nA strong communicator, able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders\nCollaborative and confident in cross-functional environments\nMotivated by contributing to the energy transition\n Salary and benefits of the BESS Technical Asset Manager role \n\nSalary up to £80k depending on experience\nLondon based office (Mon-Thur with Fridays flexible)\nPension Scheme\nDiscretionary Performance related Bonus\nPrivate Healthcare\nLife Assurance\n25 days Holiday plus Bank Holidays\n\n#LI-CM1\n INDREN\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
